HOW I WORK
PHILOSOPHY
My approach to coaching goes beyond the physical.
support growth though building trust before pressure, asking deeper questions, and paying attention to what is happening off the field, not just on it.
I do not believe in the common ‘elite-performance mentality’ of treating athletes as numbers instead of human beings.
I actually believe it’s counterproductive and against the purest point of sports.
I am not anti-performance. I am anti-performance at the expense of the person.
I understand what it takes to pursue big goals.
Performance is affected by by confidence, identity, emotional regulation, physical recovery, relationships, and the pressure athletes carry internally.
I use my lived experience of pursuing the highest level of soccer.
I have never been the loudest voice in the locker room. I am introspective, I take in the scenes, and reflect deeply afterwards.
I approach this work the same way.
M lived experience at the pursuing elite sports-highs and lows, my approach invites awareness. thoughtful introspective, help athletes better understand themselves, not just push harder.
My gift is my ability to see and support the whole athlete.
I am more thoughtful kind of support, one that helps athletes grow mentally, emotionally, physically, and, at times, spiritually, while still honoring the realities of performance and ambition.
tp Help foster sustainable athletes. build self healthier relationship with both the game and themselves, so they can grow and perform in a way that is sustainable over time.Athletes are more than playing time, results, and ambition.
I naturally see the mental, emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual dimensions of development.
I meet athletes where they are while still asking for honesty, responsibility and growth.
